# Public Testnet Setup

## Validators

**REQUIRES REALIO-NETWORKD EXECUTABLE**

To join the public testnet you **must** have [realio-network installed](/running-a-full-node.md).

To become a testnet validator, these instructions apply:

1. [Create a full node](/running-a-full-node/setup.md)
2. [Become a validator](/validators/setup.md)
